Air India Express Launches Direct Flights From Navi Mumbai to Abu Dhabi

The airline becomes the first to operate international flights from Maharashtra's newest airport, giving the Mumbai Metropolitan Region a second gateway to the UAE.

Mumbai, 21 June 2026: Air India Express today announced a new direct route between Navi Mumbai International Airport and Abu Dhabi. This makes it the first airline to operate international services from Maharashtra's newest airport.

The route gives travellers across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region a second gateway to the UAE. It adds more accessibility, convenience, and travel choice for the region.

Flights begin on 15 July 2026, with two weekly services. The frequency rises to three weekly flights from 29 July 2026. Bookings are open now on airindiaexpress.com, the airline's mobile app, and other major booking channels.

With this addition, Air India Express will operate 30 weekly flights from Navi Mumbai. The airport now connects directly to Abu Dhabi, Bengaluru, and Delhi.

A Growing Footprint in Maharashtra

Air India Express continues to expand its presence across Maharashtra. The airline runs over 95 weekly flights from Mumbai, more than 100 weekly flights from Pune, and 14 weekly flights from Nagpur.

The carrier operates one of the largest networks between India and West Asia. It links multiple Indian cities to destinations across Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

The expansion comes alongside the airline's recent campaign, 'Xpress Wali Baat Hai', featuring actor Pankaj Tripathi. The campaign spotlights the airline's comfortable seating, 'Gourmair' hot meals, warm Indian hospitality, and growing network across domestic and international routes.
